Sp Ch Scotia Silver Lining Breed 10	Sp Ch Cherie Dear Chivonne The first Breed 99 Champion in SA It is a bit difficult to observe the differences from photos. Notice the difference in ear size (small vs medium) and break in profile (well-defined vs slight).
Comment: This is the breed standard as used for many years by the SA Cat Council for all Persian Cats, including Chinchilla Persians. Note the relative smaller chin, smaller ears, smaller and shorter (snub) nose as opposed to Breed 99.	Comment: The desire of many owners and breeders to preserve the "traditional look" and coat quality of the Chinchilla and Shaded Silver, some of the oldest breeds of longhair cats as opposed to the modern Persian outcrosses with Chinchilla coat and eye colour, has resulted in the proposal to start a new breed. Cats to be included in this category are those with five generations of VP or SA registered Chinchillas and Shaded Silvers in their pedigree. They should be judged in a class of their own and should be considered to be a different breed of longhaired cat than the Chinchilla Persian.
